Malala Yousafzai gets married in Birmingham

Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, married in a tiny ceremony in Birmingham on Tuesday, the education activist announced on Twitter.

Malala Tousafzai tweeted on the microblogging website: "Today is a significant day in my life. Asser and I exchanged vows to be life mates. We had a tiny nikkah ceremony with our families at home in Birmingham. Please offer us your well-wishes. We're looking forward to embarking on this trip together."

She posted pictures with husband Aseer Malik.

Who is Aseer Malik?

Aseer Malik is the Pakistan Cricket Board's general manager of high performance (PCB). According to his LinkedIn profile, he joined the company in May 2020.

Malik previously served as an operations manager for the Multan Sultans of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as well as running a player management business.

In 2012, he graduated from Lahore University of Management Sciences with a bachelor's degree in economics and political science (LUMS).
