Pakistani Govt approves Chinese vaccines for children above 12

As Pakistan continues its fight against COVID-19, two Chinese vaccines— Sinopharm and Sinovac — were licenced on Thursday for children aged 12 and up.

More than 5.5 million immunizations have been delivered to children aged 12 to 18 in the country thus far.

In a tweet, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) stated the forum's expert committee has approved providing the vaccines to the age range from November 15 onwards, in addition to Pfizer.

In a related event, NCOC chief Asad Umar stated that more over half of students aged 12 to 18 have received at least one dosage of the vaccine.

"So far, more than 5.5 million students have been immunised. With 68 percent of the vote, the United Kingdom is in first place, followed by Punjab "Umar, who is also the federal minister for planning, development, and special initiatives, said the figure was 62 percent.
