On Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan's plea to resign from his ministry in order to prevent a conflict of interest arising from his recent business expansion.
Following a meeting with the premier at the PM secretariat, he confirmed the move, saying that resigning from public service is necessary to maintain transparency. "That is why I asked the prime minister to accept my resignation," he explained.
Khan expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for approving his request. He went on to say, "I will be presenting my resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar."
