PTI's Rana Sakhawat shot dead in Sindh

Rana Sakhawat, a local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), was shot dead in daylight in Sindh's Qambar Shahdadkot district.

According to reports in the local media, unidentified assailants fired several rounds at Sakhawat inside his rice mill.

The ruling party leader was brought to a nearby hospital and then referred to Chandka Hospital in Larkana, where he died from his injuries.

The perpetrators were able to flee the rice mill in the Lalurynik area following the attack. The deceased was the head of the Rice Mill Association as well as a veteran member of the PTI Sindh chapter.

Meanwhile, opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, has condemned Sakhawat's murder and conveyed his sympathies to his family. Sheikh further accused SSP Shahadatkot of being a lawbreaker and a supporter of criminals in the distant area.
