Sindh govt announces public holiday on 25 December

Sindh's government has declared December 25 as a public holiday. According to an official statement released by the Sindh government, General Administration, and Coordination Department on Monday, it will be a holiday to commemorate the birth of Pakistan's founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as well as the Christmas season.

Sindh Home Department has advised that schools reschedule their winter holidays in accordance with the National Command and Operation Center's standards (NCOC).

In a letter sent last week, the department requested that all public and private educational institutions in the province begin winter vacations on January 3 as determined by the NCOC.

The NCOC declared on Friday [December 17] that winter vacation in educational institutions will begin on January 3, with the exception of districts affected by fog and smog.
