A woman was gang-raped, with three perpetrators filming the incident. According to local media reports citing police authorities, the horrible act occurred in the Lashkari Pura district of Cantonment, and three close relatives of the victim's husband have been charged. The victim stated in her statement that the males sexually attacked her and filmed the incident.
According to police, the three people nominated are close relatives of the woman's husband, two of whom have been arrested, and raids are underway to apprehend the third.
The incident occurred just days after reports surfaced that the Pakistani parliament had passed a bill to chemically castrate repeat sex offenders. However, the government later clarified that the castration clause had been removed from the final draught of the bill after objections from the Council of Islamic Ideology.
