Kabul: 15 dead, several injured in hospital blast

Two bomb blast hits a military hospital in the Afghan capital on Tuesday, killing at least 15 people and injuring more than 30 others.

The blasts happened inside Afghanistan's largest military hospital, which was followed by gunfire inside the structure.

The explosives occurred at the entrance of the 400-bed Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Saeed Khosty.

He did not confirm any casualties, but did say that security officers had arrived at the scene.

A plume of smoke can be seen billowing from the event site in images circulating on social media.
