Nisar Ahmed, a Pakistani paratha-maker, won bronze in the International Kickboxing Championship on Tuesday.
Nisar is a Karachi resident. He finished third in the event after defeating Tajikistan's kickboxer. Despite being eligible, he was unable to compete owing to a lack of funds, but his compatriots helped him financially for his visit to Russia as a result of his viral interview.
Navroz Ali and Syed Ubaid Mohammad, two additional Pakistani kickboxers, earned Silver and Gold medals, respectively. Navroz got a silver medal in the 56Kg division, while Ubaid won a gold medal in the 64Kg category.
