Prisoners in Karachi Jail to watch Pak-Aus cricket match

As the date for a huge match between Pakistan and Australia to earn a T20 WC Final ticket approaches, cricket fever is on an all-time high.

The Karachi Central Jail administration has placed a giant screen for the prisoners to watch the match and delight themselves, just as big screens are being installed for the populace at various locations throughout the city for the semi-final meeting of the ICC T20 WC.

The inside walls of the jail have been adorned with photos of Pakistani players and PCB logos, and the inmates are taking advantage of the mood by dancing to national tunes.

Jail Superintendent Hassan Sahito said that all preparations have been made for the screening of the match today, and that a large screen has been built in the jail's Mayo wing.

The Pakistani squad is still unblemished in the tournament, having won all five matches in Group 2. After winning four of their five matches, Australia finished second in Group One.

New Zealand defeated England in a nail-biting match yesterday to book its place in the World Cup Finals. The winner of today's match will face the Kiwis in the grand finale on Sunday.
