Russia to develop weather satellites for Pakistan

Pakistan in talks with Russia to manufacture weather satellites

Representatives from a Pakistani business recently met with Russian officials to discuss custom-made weather satellites, which Pakistan would eventually acquire if the talks go well.

Harun Karchaev, Deputy Director-General of the Lavochkin Science and Production Association (LSPA), a Roscosmos subsidiary, revealed that early talks concerning the project had taken place during the Dubai Airshow.

During the respective negotiations, the prospects for collaboration in the provision of services for the launch of nanospace and microcosmic spacecraft using the Fregat upper stage, which also includes the Karat space-based platform, were discussed.
