PTI leader arrested for slapping police officer

Amir Khan Swansi, a local PTI leader arrested for assaulting a police officer at a jalsa in Mianwali.

The incident occurred on Saturday during a PTI rally in Mianwali, where Prime Minister Imran Khan was also present, according to the police.

Amir Khan slapped the police officer when he sought to search him at the entry, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Mianwali. As a result, a case was filed against the leader.

"A case was filed against Amir Khan after an investigation was launched into the incident," DPO said.

Reacting to the case registered against him, Amir Khan said that "it was a politically motivated move."
